To Do in/around Bimini
23rd and 30th are travel, packing, unpacking, and not much else. Possibly leaves 24,5,6,7,8,and 9 which is 6 days. Although if check-in time at the apartment is 2p and we leave Ft. Lauderdale at 6a, we might have significant exploring time on the 23rd. I recommend exploring South Bimini on the 23rd. There is a beach, a nature trail, a Shark Lab, a reef, and a restaurant. Being on land will allow Tina's (and anyone else who gets seasick) stomach to settle.
Top attractions: 1 A, 2 B, 3 C&G 4 D&H 5 E&F 6 I&J Looks like 6 days worth of stuff to do.
A. Gun Cay with Honeymoon Harbor, Gun Cay light house, snorkeling and beach. over 10 miles by boat, whole day. Lunch = deli take out to bring on the boat?
B. South Bimini, beaches (Tiki Hut Beach, west coast of South Bimini), nature trail, shark lab, Shell Beach (west coast, has shells and snorkeling. Is it the same as Tiki Hut Beach, just with a different name?). Whole day. Lunch Thirsty Turtle.
C. Rainbow Reef, Three Sisters, and Bimini Road snorkel, part day
D. Dolphin Swim, or shark dive 4 hours
E. Cat Cay South (N is a private island) which has Tuna Alley diving spot (40+feet deep). Possibly all the Southern islands, ie Cat Cay and Gun Cay and then the Sapona all in one day?
F. Turtle Rocks (popular snorkeling/dive site), near S.S. Sapona Wreck. Maybe on the way to/from Gun Cay?
G. Radio Beach, right in front of the pink house, part day
H. Casino, evening
I. Fishing
J. Great Isaac Cay (20 Mi NNE, light house, accessible only by boat, derelict collection of abandoned buildings)
Lunches, which days for restaurants and which day for packed lunches?
What if the guys fished in the mornings and the rest of us, slept late, went to the pool, beach, etc. each day? We could all meet up and go to a restaurant for lunch and then head out for an afternoon of island hopping. Are any of the out-island trips too long to do between noon and 5p? Would any of the non-fishing people mind not starting their off-island explorations until after lunch each day?
If we do South Cat Cay, Honeymoon Harbour, Gun Cay, and the Sapona Wreck all in one day that would be an hour to get to South Cat (14 miles fast + 3 miles no wake = 1 hr), then visit 1 hour, then 4 miles back to Honeymoon Harbour off Gun Cay (4 miles fast = 10 minutes, plus 10 minutes to haul and set anchors), then 1 hour visit, then 20 minutes to haul anchor, travel, set anchor, 1 hour on Sapona, 20 minutes to the inlet, 1/2 hour to house. 5.5 hours trip.
Also the day for Great Isaac Cay which will be 30 minute boat ride to get from the house to the end of the inlet, and then 40 minutes to go the 20 miles. And then the same travel time to get back = 2 hr 20 min of boating. Would leave 2.5 hours of time for exploring before dinner.

There are some smaller islands south of Bimini. The first is Gun Cay, app. 10 kilometres from the southern corner of South Bimini. One of the most popular anchorages is at the northern end; all Bahamian sailors stop at Honeymoon Harbour. The area is spectacular, and its beach is among the most beautiful ones. A unique symbol of the island is the lighthouse located in the south, standing here since 1836.

Harder to reach than the beaches on mainland North or South Bimini, the beaches on the Cays to the south are the choice if you are looking for the best beaches. "If you are into diving, Neal Watson dive center has cage diving with bull sharks (they feed them daily in the Big Game Club Marina – highly recommended not to enter the water there). The same diving center has dive offshore with reef sharks, eagle rays and turtles. They also do hammerhead sharks feeding dive for 300 USD. I did the dive with reef sharks and was the best of my life (from 42 dives in 13 countries)." All you need to know about Bimini Islands in Bahamas - Franz Explorer
